Itinerary

Day 1: Brisbane to Cairns

Depart Brisbane on the Spirit of Queensland this afternoon and travel north overnight to Cairns. Enjoy the comforts onboard travelling in a RailBed with meals included.

Day 2: Cairns

Arrive in Cairns and stay overnight at the DoubleTree by Hilton, Cairns, with breakfast included.

Day 3: Cairns to Cooktown

Travel north to the World Heritage Listed Daintree Rainforest. Enjoy a wildlife cruise along the Daintree River, a barbecue lunch and a guided rainforest walk on the Marrdja Boardwalk. Visit the spectacular Cape Tribulation Beach and stop in at the iconic Lion’s Den Hotel. Enjoy the next two nights at the Sovereign Resort in Cooktown, with breakfast included daily. 

Day 4: Cooktown

Enjoy a full day exploring Cooktown. Take a guided foreshore walk and learn about local history and the Guugu Yimithirr Aboriginal people. Visit the Cooktown cemetery and the James Cook Museum before taking in the amazing panoramic views of the Coral Sea and Endeavour River from Grassy Hill. 

Day 5: Cooktown to Cairns

Spend the morning exploring Cooktown. This afternoon, depart Cooktown via the Mulligan Highway, travelling through a diverse landscape of cattle stations and the Palmer River gold mine region. Arrive back in Cairns this evening. Stay the next two nights at DoubleTree by Hilton, Cairns with breakfast included daily. 

Day 6: Cairns

Spend the day at leisure exploring Cairns. Visit the wide range of shops and restaurants or relax at Cairns Esplanade Lagoon.

Day 7: Cairns

Your holiday concludes upon check-out from the hotel.
